Why Are These Southern Maryland Photographers Booked Nationally?

Buying the dress before you meet the guy — debatable.  Getting your hands on Costola Photography sooner rather than later — no question.

Actually, you’ll want to book them for more than just your wedding.  Andie and Anthony Ingagliato, the couple behind the magic, deliver breathtaking photo sessions for all types of milestones.

Although locally based, this (newlywed) husband and wife team has bookings as far away as Iceland in 2017. Why are they our choice?  We love their taste, their talent, and their Southern Maryland charm.

The Maryland Group:  Your business has flourished in the past year.  In your opinion, what is it about Costola Photography that has you booked into 2018?  (We know you’re humble, but you can do some bragging here.)

Costola Photography:  It’s crazy how God has blessed us with Costola. Our main purpose in every wedding and session is to serve our clients above and beyond the photography aspect. If that means holding a bride’s gown during a bathroom break (this has happened before!), then yeah, we’re definitely going to hold that gown.  We are with our clients each step of the way, and that relationship usually results in lasting friendships.

We are so thankful because we receive most of our couples through word-of-mouth.  It’s quite funny – we have an upcoming wedding in which all of the bridesmaids have been or are scheduled to be clients of ours.  That’s a huge compliment for us! Andie Younkin Photography, LLC

TMG:  Even your company’s name sounds pretty.  What does “Costola” mean, and what does it mean to you?

CP:  (Andie)  One of our own first dates was at Tony’s church —  Jesus has always been the center of our relationship and we believe it was in His plans for us to do what we love.  Tony began calling me his “rib bone,” referring to Eve’s creation from Adam’s rib.  What started out as a nickname encompassing our strong faith and relationship was merged with Tony’s Italian heritage.  Costola is the Italian word for rib, and we felt it really embodied everything that we live and breathe!

TMG:   In addition to your local work, where are your bookings taking you in 2017?

CP:  This year is a crazy year for travel!  We love to travel for our couples and highly recommend it — we even offer special discounts for destination weddings and elopements.  We’ll be photographing couples in Iceland, Jamaica, all over the East Coast, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, and California this year.

TMG:  The styling of your own photo sessions is a testament to your great personal taste.  As a couple that captures those “forever” moments, what do you want to see more of — and less of — in 2017 photography?

CP:  Less focus on the material things … more adventure! One of our favorite weddings was an elopement on the outskirts of Las Vegas.  The couple chose to get married with only the help of their two friends in the middle of the desert!  It wasn’t about the flowers, cake, decor, or DJ.  It was about the love that they shared and the vows that they were promising to God and to each other.  That is what marriage is to us, that is what you are left with ten years from your wedding day … well, that and our photographs!
